David Ward-Steinman: Multicultural Music for a New Millennium
Friday, January 23, 2009 at 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm, San Diegans can enjoy the music of internationally acclaimed musician David Ward-Steinman. This event takes place at Balboa Park and only cost $10 for members and students or $15 for non-members.
"David Ward-Steinman, internationally acclaimed composer and pianist, evokes East Indian and Native American musical rhythms in a concert that includes jazz and an improvisation on notes from the audience. Accompanying Ward-Steinman are Tim Archambault on Native American flute and soprano Laurinda Nikkel. New compositions by Ward-Steinman are set to poetry by San Diegans Robert E. Lee, William J. Adams and Frieda L. Levinsky. "
