Market Update Jan 2011Greetings all,

Clearly the economy is still on the road to recovery. While we are realistic as to the prospects for 2011, it is also important to be optimistic.  While 2010 was not the best year for San Diego County’s real estate market, experts say that pricing seems to be stabilizing.  Predictions are an elusive thing, and no one really knows what the New Year will bring, however what we do know is the cycle “will change”.
 


We also know that this is a moment of opportunity. If you are an Investor or an Individual Buyer 2011 will bring tremendous purchasing opportunities. With more access to information and data today’s Buyer is much more sophisticated.  These Buyers are using this knowledge to haggle for lower prices and Sellers are more likely to accept their low-ball offers because fewer and fewer people are qualifying for loans.   


Marklet Update Jan 20112011 also seems bright for Downtown San Diego. With several redevelopment projects underway, Downtown’s future looks promising and beneficial for all. Projects like The Quiet Zone, The North Embarcadero Visionary Plan, the Harbor Drive Pedestrian Bridge, the Navy Broadway Complex, the C Street Safety Enhancements Public Improvements/Master Plan, the Civic Center Complex and many more.  Several long-term redevelopment projections have a potential of generating as much as $8.2 billion in additional property taxes over the next 30 years.  Here’s to a prosperous 2011!
